Value returned: a number equal to the trigonometric sine of number
expressed in radians the sin of 0 -- returns 0
the sin of (pi / 4) -- returns 0.707107
the sin of pi -- returns 0
the sin of pi / 2 -- returns 0
the sin of (pi / 2) -- returns 1

. In short, always use parentheses to group things the way you want them to evaluate, and you won’t have to worry about the difference between factors and expressions.
