newStack

newStack
Handler:

on newStack
   statements
end newStack
HyperCard sends the newStack message to the current card (in this case, the first card of the new stack) just after HyperCard creates the stack.

Although the new stack will not have a script with which to respond to the message, any other object along the message-passing path can handle it.


Placeholders

statements
Any return-separated list of built-in commands, user-defined handlers, or keywords that are part of a message or function handler.

put "Hello world"   -- built-in command
get total(field 1)  -- function call
global HelpInfo     -- keyword
